Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD JOSEPH MICHALUK On Saturday, October 20, 2001 Edward Joseph Michaluk, aged 63 years, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, slipped out of the arms of his loving family by his side, and into the arms of Our Dear Saviour. Edwards memory will be forever cherished and remembered by his loving wife Nadia, his daughter Bernadine (Ray), son Jonathan (Jocelyne), and the pride, joy and strength of his life, his granddaughter Kaitlin, and his grandson Jarred. He will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his four sisters, Kay, Ann, Olive, and Jean; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Edward was predeceased by his mother Martha (1986) father Joseph (1948) brothers, Walter (1983), Harry (1965), Steve (1986), Michael (1988), and Alex (1992). Ed was born on Tuesday, January 18, 1938 in Teulon, MB. He married Nadia (Nedell) Hradowy, on Saturday, September 16, 1961. He worked for De Lande Memorials, Tallman Construction, then he commenced employment at Canada Packers, then took a leave of absence to help on the farm, then moved back to Winnipeg, and continued to work at Canada Packers for a total of 30 years until the closure of the plant. Ed then worked part-time at Braemer Bakery and Restaurant where he found a good friend in his boss Byron. He had respect for Byron and Byron trusted Ed. He loved going out to the country, and was proud of the work that was accomplished. He fulfilled his life by making his dreams come true. Ed was a generous, kind, loving and devoted family man, and set a good example for his children. He gave so much unselfishly, because that was his way of sharing his love, and didnt want anything in return but all the love that we bestowed on him. Ed and Nadia were faithful members of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Prayers will be sung on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion St. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m., also at the church. Rev. Fr. John Mostivsky officiating. Cremation will follow. Private family interment at All Saints Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his godchildren and nephews, Kevin Hradowy, Darcy Michaluk, Brian Zaluski, Rick Hradowy, Rohnne Hladun, Wayne Hradowy, Richard Dziedzic, and Wayne Michaluk. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, family, friends, and neighbours for their prayers and support. Special thanks to Fr. John Mostivsky, the chaplains, doctors, and the 5th floor staff for their prayers and compassionate care. If friends and family so desire, donations for Masses may be made to Sts.
