VALERIE AGNES MARIE FOLK (nee CHOBOTER) Suddenly and far too soon, Valerie Agnes Marie Folk (nee Choboter) of Kamloops, BC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 22, 2001 at the age of 42 years. She courageously fought an all too tiring battle with cancer. Val will be dearly missed by her loving husband Staff Sergeant John Folk, her precious son Darren, her mother Bernice Choboter of Kelowna, BC, her brother Brian (Donna) Choboter, and niece Cassie and nephew Cale of Kelowna, her brother Dennis (partner Darren) of Surrey, BC, mother and father-in-law Ruth and Pat Folk of Regina, SK, brother-in-law Jim and his children from Calgary, AB, sister-in-law Judy and her children from Regina, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins from both Val and Johns families. Val was predeceased by her brother Joseph (at birth) and her greatly missed father George Choboter in 1994. Val was born January 7, 1959 and was raised in Tolstoi, MB. She graduated from high school in Vita, MB. She pursued a career in the airline industry which resulted in her being employed in Calgary, Kelowna, Prince George, and finally Kamloops.
