ORIGENE DELORME It is with deep sorrow and regret that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grand-father and great-grandfather, Origene Delorme, on Monday, October 22, 2001 at the Vita Personal Care Home, with his wife and members of his loving family at his side. He is survived by his wife Annette; and five children, Raymond (Jean), daughter Ida (Harvey Robbins), Lee (Barbara), Paul (Diane), and Jerry (Jean) eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Martha (Walter Danylchuk) many sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous nephews and nieces; and one aunt Biddy Paquin. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Elhmire Delorme; and five brothers, Vizina, Jean, Archie, Joe, and Phil; and one sister Georgina (Lloyd) Lehman. Dad was born on June 30, 1923, in Ste. Marthe, SK, and moved to Marchand, MB in 1936. Dad married Annette Paquin on September 24, 1945. Dad started working at a very young age on farm crews and in bush camps. Shortly after he was married, he began a career with the Canadian National Railway that lasted for 35 years. They made their home in Sprague for the last 47 years. Dads hobbies included fishing and gardening and in his younger days he enjoyed curling and dancing. Dad was also a great fan of the Montreal Canadiens. Dad loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and took great pride in their many accomplishments in life. Words cannot express our sorrow. We will miss him deeply. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 27 at Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Church in South Junction, MB, at 1:00 p.m., with Fr. Joseph Tran celebrant. Interment will follow at a later date. In closing, the Delorme family would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to Dr. DeKlerk and the staff of the Vita Hospital and Personal Care Home. We could not have wished for better care for our father. God Bless You, Dad! Arrangements entrusted to Vita Funeral Home, Vita, MB.
