MARCELLE GHISLAINE BOULET (nee CORMIER) 1937 - 2001 Marcelle (Cormier) Boulet quietly slipped away on October 23, 2001, after a brave but lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by Gilles, her loving husband of 42 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Daniel (Louise), Gerald (Janice) and Leanne (Michel) and her seven grandchildren, Danielle, Benoit, Stephane, Melanie, Matthieu, Chantal, and Natalie. Marcelle was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Marcelle was predeceased by her parents, Moise and Annette Cormier and is survived by her loving brothers, Gilbert, Jean-Paul, Rheal, Leo; and sister Louise. She also leaves her mother-in-law Jeanne Boulet and her sister-in-law Ghislaine (John) and brother-in-law Roger. Marcelle was born on April 3, 1937 in LaSalle, MB, where she lived until 1955. In 1957 she met her loving companion Gilles and the two were united in Holy Matrimony on September 5, 1959. We wish to thank all those who cared for Mom. In particular, the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Dialysis Unit, the Saint-Boniface Hospital Cancer Unit and the Health Sciences Centre Cancer Clinic. Prayers will take place at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26 at Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Roman Catholic, 289, avenue Dussault. Service will terminate at church with cremation to follow. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9, or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada (Manitoba Branch), 200 - 55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
