Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHOWARD SAMUEL FURMAN Died peacefully with his beloved wife Selma at his side on October 23, 2001. Survived by his sister Ellen Bloom, nephew Max Bloom, niece Sheryl Sinclair, all of Chicago; many nephew, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces from Vancouver, Ottawa and Tel Aviv. Born and schooled in Chicago, Illinois, Howard served in the U.S.A. army. Married Selma in Chicago 42 years ago. Employed by the Nestle Food Company. Moved to Winnipeg in the early sixties. Made his life work in sales and communications, both in the U.S.A. and Canada. Howard never retired. He loved working with people. He loved to work. He loved pets, particularly dogs. A cheerful, likeable, kind, gregarious, outgoing, warm, perceptive, tenacious, determined, charismatic, free spirited, devoted, loyal, interested in exploring all aspects of life, well read in health issues. Howard was worshipful Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge and also a Shriner. Howard charmed children as a magic man with his magic. Howard will be missed by everyone who crossed his path. He will especially be remembered and missed by Natasha Taylor and her family. Funeral services were held at Chesed Shel Emes Chapel, with interment at Shaary Zedek Cemetery. Rabbi A.
