FELIX GROSJEAN It is with great sorrow that we, the family of Felix Grosjean, announce the passing of our husband and father, at the age of 75 years. He died peacefully in his sleep, at the Personal Care Home in Fisher Branch, MB. on October 23, 2001. Felix leaves to mourn his loving wife, Ruth; daughters, Linda (Don), Diane (Wayne), Nadine (Gary) and his son, Phil (Jayne). Also left to mourn are his five grandchildren, Darryl, Jeff, Tracy, Michelle, and Kimberly. Predeceased by his father, Julian; mother, Laure; brothers, Jules and Joseph; sisters, Rose and Mary. Felix is survived by his brothers, Fernie, Clement and Jack; sisters, Jean, Josie, Clemence, Eva, Alice, and Anna. Numerous nieces and nephews, and many good friends, collected through the years. Felix was born and raised on a small farm near Griswold, MB. He lived and worked there until he met and married Ruth (Pud). They married on June 17, 1949. In 1950 he went to work on the railway. They moved to Fisher Branch in 1959 where he continued to work for the railway until an operation on his back forced his retirement in 1968. After his recovery they bought and ran the local theater in 1970. Felix also went to work for Dave Caldwell that same year where he continued to work until his retirement in 1990. Felixs idea of retirement was to shingle the odd roof with Phil and Gary, to snowmobile with the boys or to take a trip to Mexico with John. One of his great passions was his woodworking, some of which adorn most of the homes, not only of his family but many of his friends. Many thanks to John and Sara, thank you so much for picking the lot next to ours, your special love and friendship has and always will mean so much; Murvin, for answering all of our questions and being there whenever we needed him; Bob and Karen, for being such good neighbours and friends; the Personal Care Home, for all of their special attention and all of the home care workers for their help and consideration; Dr.s Greg and Cecile Andreas for their compassionate care; and Jean for being my "special sister". Funeral services will be held on October 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, in Fisher Branch, MB. Lunch will immediately follow the service at the Ukrainian National Home. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Felixs memory to the Fisher Personal Care Home. Arrangements in care of Fisher Funeral Home, Fisher Branch, MB. (204)372-6271 or 372-6803.
