ROY WILLIAM BROWN Peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2001, Roy William Brown passed away at Oakview Place. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Arvilla; sons, Murray (Leona) and Warren; and his grandchildren, Christopher and Heather. Also his sister Ada Brady of Regina, SK, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Born in Colfax, SK, he joined the R.C.A.F. in December 1940, serving in Canada and Yorkshire, England, until October 1945. He was immediately employed by Marshall Wells Ltd. as a specialty, general and industrial salesman until full retirement. He then was employed by Beaver Lumber for a number of years. He enjoyed sports, especially skating and hockey, curling and baseball. Summer holidays were spent camping with his family across Canada and the U.S.A. Weekends were at the many camps throughout the Whiteshell area where the family canoed and fished. He was a member of the United Church and also enjoyed his time as a member of the Red River Valley Live Steamers, and he always looked forward to volunteering with the Christmas Cheer Board. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. If friends desire, a donation may be made to a charity of their choice. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Victoria and Grace Hospitals for their excellent care and the caregivers at Oakview Place. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
