REGINA HORODYSKI Mrs. Regina Horodyski, aged 102 years, passed away peacefully at the River East Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, on Sunday, October 28, 2001. She is survived by her children, her son William and wife Alma of Winnipeg; and her daughter Helena Phyllis and husband Ken Gregresh of Winnipeg; seven grandchildren, Sandra (Bill), Donna (Jack), Bill Jr., Bernard, Mary (Alexander), Grace (Michael), and Susan; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Bernice Klemanski of Vancouver; also nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas; two daughters Helen and Emily; and son Casimir; and three sisters, Phyllis Bijakowski, Stephanie Drabyk and Stella Buhay. Her happiest times were being with her family. She enjoyed gardening and won numerous prizes at the Red River Exhibition and the Brokenhead Fair for her canning and comforters. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 31 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, 3rd Street and Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Haligowski and also the staff and volunteers at River East Personal Care Home that cared for our mother with compassion and kindness. Flowers are gratefully declined.
