FRANCES (DOREEN) BLOCK Frances (Doreen) Block born June 4, 1927 in Stoughton, SK. Passed away October 24, 2001 at Penticton Regional Hospital. She is survived by her loving family, husband Stan; daughter Donna (Jim) Wakely of Calgary; son Bob of Penticton. Three grandchildren, David, Jenny and Phillip; sister Lorna (Lou) Bunda; brothers, Harold Pickering of Surrey, Scotty (Angie) Pickering of Calgary, Morris (Ruth) Pickering of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Gloria Pickering of Penticton, Adeline Pickering of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Jim Walker of Toronto, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Predeceased by four brothers, one sister, dad and mother, sister-in-law Josie Pickering. Doreen was a very active member of the Penticton Ladies Auxilary for 35 years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel at First Memorial Funeral Services, 501 Winnipeg Street.
