Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARSENE LAFANTAISIE Peacefully, on Friday, October 26, 2001, Arsene Lafantaisie passed away at the Tache Centre at the age of 97 years. Left to mourn his passing is his son Ernest (Gertrude) and his seven daughters, Simone (Paul) Desharnais, Elizabeth Paquette, Yvette (Danny) Laliberte, Alice (Arthur) Catellier, Gisele (Howard, deceased) Normand, Lucienne (Richard) Choquette and Irene Daoust (friend, Chris) 31 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Arsene was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth; his brothers, Joseph ("Pat"), Omer, Delphis, Adelard, Salime, Alfred and Philias; and his sisters, Lina, Malvina and Blanche. He was also predeceased by three infant sons, one granddaughter and one great-grandson. He was the last surviving member of all his siblings. Dad was born in St. Malo in 1904. He married Louise Dore in 1934. In 1952, they moved to Winnipeg where Dad had since resided. Arsene had a special bond with his son Ernest and the other family members would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Gertrude (Ernests wife) for the many acts of kindness she showed to our Dad during his illness. Funeral services will be held at the Saint-Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd. in St. Vital on Tuesday, October 30. Fr. Marcel Toupin will celebrate the funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Prayer service and viewing will be held at the church one-half hour prior to mass. Interment will take place in the St. Malo parish cemetery in St. Malo following the mass. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.

I always liked my great grampa. We never spoke the same language but I remember sitting with him at the table and both sharing laughs. My nickname was..and still is Boo Boo. I also was very blessed to have the oportunity to introduce him to my oldest son Pierce, his great great grandson. Rest in Peace Grampa.
