Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY NEIL SHEIDOW On Monday, October 29, 2001, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Harvey Neil Sheidow of the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, passed away at the age of 89 years. His memory will be cherished by his son Neil and daughter-in-law Ann of Burlington, ON; grandchildren, Ryan and Kirby; and great-grandson Travis of Barrie, ON. He is survived by his sister Margaret (Whittaker) of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Edwin of Winnipeg, Wilfred of Winnipeg and Edmonton, Norman of Vancouver, and Ethel (Lytle) of Winnipeg. Harvey was born on October 11, 1912 in Winnipeg to Ernest and Irene (nee Anderson) Sheidow. He grew up in the Winnipeg area where he met and married Nellie Wilson, his wife of 47 years, who passed away in 1987. Harvey served in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve, in Victoria from 1942 to 1945 when he returned to Winnipeg. He was an employee of the T. Eaton Company for over 45 years. For many years, Harvey and Nellie were associate members of the Officers Mess of Minto Armouries, and later belonged to No. 4 Legion - St. James Branch, as well as members of the Thistle Seniors Social Club. At his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date for close friends and family. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Harveys family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nursing and support staff on B2 and N1 of the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their kindness and caring over the past years. Also, a special thanks to the medical and nursing staff of 3rd floor Unit 5 at SOGH for their care and treatment.
