Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARD ROY On October 26, 2001 Gerry passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Gerry will be remembered by his sister, Florence and brother-in-law, Romeo Dion; sister-in-law, Jeannette Roy, numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Evelina and Joe; sisters, Eva, Helen, Alice, Beatrice and Clemence; brothers, Edward, Leo, Joe and George. Gerry was born in Fisher Branch, October 16, 1917. He enlisted with the Canadian Army, April, 1943 and served with the Little Black Devils of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. He served as a Lance Corporal and received the 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and War Medal 1939-1945. Gerry belonged to Branch #158 Legion at Hodgson. He has resided in Fisher Branch since 1986. His culinary skills will be missed by his friends who visited daily and by his November hunting buddies. Cremation has taken place at his request. Funeral service will be at the Fisher Branch Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday, November 3 at 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fisher Branch, MB.
