MARY T. FRIESEN Peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2001, Mary T. Friesen passed away at the Altona Hospital at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband David K. Friesen, brother David Stobbe, sisters, Anne Klassen and Toots Unrau. She is survived by her daughters, Audrey (David), Judy (Joe), and Cathleen (Art) by sons, David (Evelyn) and Ted (JoAnna) and by grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Noel, Kevin, Meghan, Genevieve, and Ariane; and one great-grandchild David. Marys life was devoted to family, Church and community. She particularly enjoyed her grandchildren and loved entertaining family and friends. Her Church and community involvement included the Mary Martha Womens Group, and the Womens Institute, the MCC Centre. Mary will be remembered by all who knew her for her tireless work, constant caring, and the support that she brought to those around her. Special thanks to medical and nursing staff of the Altona Hospital, and her many care givers, especially Betty and Cornie Driedger. Funeral services will be held at the Altona Bergthaler Church on Friday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MCC Canada, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 5K9, or to the Altona Health Centre, Box 660, Altona, MB, R0G 0B0.
