WILLIAM GLENN HEMPHILL
Date of Passing: Oct 18, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM GLENN HEMPHILL Peacefully, on Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Deer Lodge Centre, Glenn passed away at the age of 77 years. Leaving to forever cherish his memory are his daughters, Leslie (Michele), Jackie and Glynis (Jeff) sisters, Alice and Betty; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ashley and Madison. Glenn was predeceased by his wife Eileen, of 51 years of marriage, in February 1999. Glenn proudly served overseas in the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada. Upon his return, he literally married the girl next door, began a family and a career. After more than 27 years of service with Canada Post, Glenn enjoyed an early retirement. He was a strong supporter of the Royal Canadian Legion and spent many happy hours with his family and friends playing cards, darts, or solving the problems of the world in joyful conversation. In keeping with Glenns wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Our family would like to thank Flo, a close friend of Mom and Dads, and the staff of Deer Lodge, Tower 5. In Glenns memory donations may be made to the Deer Lodge Foundation for Geriatrics Inc., 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. "Dad, we will always remember you for your humour, wit and sense of fun, which you never lost; Yet it is your endless good-nature we will forever celebrate."
