AIME LAVALLEE Aime Lavallee passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 30, 2001 one day after his 66th birthday. He is survived by Leona; his wife of 42 years, daughter Vaudree; son Albert (Tracey) grandsons, John and Kevin; sister Raymonde (Mona) Dillabough (Ottawa) brother Albert Lavallee (Winnipeg) 29 nieces and nephews, 51 cousins. Aime was predeceased by his mother Marianne (nee Lapointe), Nov. 27, 1965, father Albert Pierre Lavallee, May 30, 1986; brothers, Arthur, 1922, Arthur "Bob," 1993, Fernand "Vern", 1998, Gilbert, 1970, Georges, 1986, and Paul-Emile, 1979; and sister Jeanette Richthammer, 1990. Aime Eugene Joseph Lavallee was born at St. Boniface General Hospital, Oct. 29, 1935, and attended school in St. Pierre Jolys, Laurier, St. Boniface, MB and Port Moody, BC. "Red" enjoyed playing hockey (goal tender), fastball (catcher), and curling (skip), and coached various teams from Norwood Community Club and St. Boniface General Hospital. A loyal Manitoban and proud Canadian, Aime cheered on the Bombers, Jets and the Moose. His familys interests were always important, and he took pleasure in reading daily newspapers, and in discerning shopping trips with his loyal canine companion, Princess. "Red" also greatly enjoyed the camaraderie at his favorite coffee shop. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 1:30 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. with Rev. Fr.Gerry Ward officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. Sincere thanks are extended to Drs. Taylor and Garcia, and nursing staff of Palliative and Home Care for their assistance and compassion during this difficult time.
