Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHUANG HEE CHEN On Wednesday, October 24, 2001, surrounded by her family, Shuang Chen passed away peacefully at the age of 100 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son James (Grace) Lee; her grandchildren, Joyce, Connie (Jerry), Edward, Paul (Maryann) and Andrew; and her precious great-grandchildren, Neil, Benjamin and Michael. Born in China, the majority of her life was spent farming. Her generosity extended to her neighbours and raising children in need. She immigrated to Canada in 1975 to be with her family. We have been very blessed to have had her live with us in Winnipeg for the last 13 years where she was an integral part of our family. We all benefitted from Grannys wisdom and kindness. She always reminded us of how special we were to her. Her gentleness will always be remembered. Granny enjoyed being around her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing her own clothes, latch hook, gardening and special outings. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2 at Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide St., with Rev. Wing Mak officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. Viewing will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, also at Kerrs Funeral Chapel. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Victoria General Hospital for the wonderful care that she received during her short stay. Also, thank you to Dr. Clement Yeung for the many years of medical care. KERRS FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, phone 943-6688.
