BETTY JEAN CAUGHLIN Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 31, 2001 Betty Jean Caughlin passed away at the tender age of 67. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Bob; her children, Kevin and his wife Debbie, Cary and his wife Sandra, Kathy and her husband Danny Blair, and Kim and her husband Rob Lanyon; and grandchildren, Tara and Tyler Caughlin, Carly and Amy Caughlin, Jarrett and Bryce Blair, and Nicholas and Katrina Lanyon. She also leaves her sisters, Janie Madarash, Connie McKay (Alfie) brothers, Clifford Smith (Meagan), Donald Smith (Gaylynne) and many nieces and nephews. Betty graduated in 1955 from the St. Boniface Hospital as a Gold Medalist in nursing. However, she spent most of her years as a devoted and caring mother. In the latter part of her career, she worked in personal care at the Deaf Centre of Manitoba. The family would like to thank Dr. M. Lertzman at the St. Boniface Hospital and Dr. Alvi, and the medical staff at the Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 4:00 p.m. at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr. Private interment will be at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
