ERWIN TELKE Suddenly on Thursday, November 1, 2001, Erwin Telke passed away. Erwin was born on December 22, 1944 in Lipno, Poland and moved to Germany in 1945. In 1953 he immigrated to Canada where he lived in Portage la Prairie. In 1968 he married Karen Klemm of Winnipeg, with whom he shared a beautiful home near Birds Hill Park and together raised their four daughters. More recently until his passing, Erwin resided at 1010 Sinclair. Erwin worked at Coca Cola Bottling Co. 30 years where he made many friends. Erwin was predeceased by his father Robert Telke; brothers, Henry and Reinhold Telke. His memory will be forever cherished by his daughters, Sandy (Victor) Bento, Sheri, Shelley, and Sharon Telke, and his two beautiful grandchildren, Nicole and Renee. He will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Olga Telke; sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends, who cared and supported Erwin through all of his days. Erwin was a kind, generous, and compassionate man who lived his life for his children and grandchildren. Erwin was a proud man who enjoyed spending time outdoors and helping others. Erwin left a memorable impression on all who knew him. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with interment at Selkirk Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice. "You are in the arms of the angels, may you find comfort there." We love you always, and forever.
