EVELYN YAREMA Peacefully after a lengthy and courageous battle with chronic lung disease, Evelyn passed away at Deer Lodge Hospital at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her son Anthony (Marlene) Yarema; daughter Joan (Victor) Siran; daughter Kathryn (Lloyd) Searcy; 10 grandchildren; three adopted grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia (Jack) Butler of Success, SK and Irene (Bill) Fuller of Kelowna, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick in 1977. Evelyn had many caregivers over the years for whom she was most grateful. These include Dr. Peter Warren, the staff at Riverview Health Centre, and most recently, Deer Lodge Centre, the many homecare workers, especially Pat Bulat and Lois Osborne, and her very close and special friend Margaret Blain who stood with her through this ordeal. She was also most grateful to the McKentys for bringing her communion on Sundays over the years. Prayers will be held on Monday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Dr., with Fr. Ray Baudry presiding. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Evelyns grandchildren, Karen Siran-Loughery, Kyle Yarema, Carla Siran, Kelly Yarema, Tim Siran, Cory Searcy, Tyler Yarema, Cheryl Siran, Erin Searcy and Marla Rae Yarema. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6 or to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
