FREDERICK "WAYNE" ANGELL It is with a great sorrow that we announce the passing of Frederick Wayne Angell, suddenly, at home on October 27, 2001, after a courageous fight with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ellen; his children, Michael (Joyce), Tara and Tracy (Gilles) and his seven grandchildren who thought of him as their best friend. Dad was born in 1937 in Owen Sound, ON. He was a proud member of the R.C.A.F. for 30 years. He served his country all over Canada and Europe. After his retirement from the R.C.A.F., he continued to serve the Province of Manitoba for 11 years. He was never happier than when he could do something for his family. He gave his most precious gift to his grandchildren: his time and imagination. He was a wonderful husband, a great father and the best grandpa. His passing leaves a large hole that will be filled with beautiful memories. High Flight Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward Ive climbed and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hovring there, Ive chased the shouting wind along and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue Ive topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace, Where never lark, nor even eagle flew; And while, with silent, lifting mind Ive trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God. Rest in Peace We love you and will miss you forever. At Dads request there will be no service. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
