Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT LLOYD MOORE Robert passed away at the Glenboro Health Centre on Friday, November 2, 2001, at the age of 80. Lloyd was born in the municipality of Strath-cona, March 22, 1921, the third son of Robert and Isobelle Moore. He attended Mimir School and then helped his father in farming in the Argyle Municipality. He married Agnes Hunter on June 11, 1949, and they farmed together until 1970. Moving to town they owned and operated a grocery store for five years. Wanting to be outdoors, Lloyd did Crop Insurance for two seasons, worked at the potato harvest for Diehls and then at Spruce Woods Park for six years. He was a member of the Glenboro Kiwanis Club, serving one term as president. He became a member of the Village Council in 1977 and worked diligently for the village for 15 years, serving as Mayor for six years. He enjoyed helping people, going on the various committees and meeting new people. His family was his pride, and he could often be heard telling stories to his grandsons and great-grandchildren. He loved curling and having morning coffee with the gang. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents; a son Glen; brothers, Albert and Orval; and a sister in infancy. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Agnes; daughter Aline (Don) Taylor of Regina; grandsons, Robert (Erin) Taylor of Moose Jaw, SK, and Colin Taylor of Regina; three great-grandchildren, Hayley, Dylan and Keigan; a sister Florence McDonald, Fort QuAppelle, SK, a brother Richard (Grace) of Chilliwack, BC, formerly of Manitou, MB; sister-in-law Mary Moore, Glenboro; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held on Monday, November 5 at the Glenboro United Church with Rev. Marilyn Matson officiating. Pallbearers were Robert and Colin Taylor, Mark, Ken and Kevin Moore and Rob Wytinck. Friends so desiring, memoriams may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, 727B-10th St., Brandon, MB, R7A 4G7. Jamieson Funeral Service of Glenboro were in charge of arrangements.
