Her departure will also be mourned by 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as a very close friend and cousin Alvina Singbeil. Fanny was born on February 19, 1910. She was raised in Fraserwood, MB and later moved to Golden Bay where she met her husband Robert who she married on June 4, 1933. Mom had many interests such as gardening, knitting, music, sewing and making various crafts. Yet her real joy was expressed through her music when she would play the mouth organ while her children accompanied her on the guitar, accordion and vocals. It didnt take long till these family jam sessions became the cornerstones of our family functions. Mom, your musical contribution will be dearly missed but never ever forgotten. As winter time approaches, all the mittens, scarves, and socks that Mom knit with love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will certainly come to hold a special place in all our hearts. Mom was very fortunate that God had blessed her with good health up until these last few months at which point her wish was to pass away peacefully in her own home surrounded by her family. Mom was a very caring, kind and loving Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Therefore, the family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Dr. Corder for the extra special care he provided for our mother and to Gloria (granddaughter) for making it possible for our mother to spend her last days in the comfort of her home. A sincere thanks to Chelsea (great-granddaughter) for helping with the care of our mother, and to Christine (homecare worker) for her care and support until the final calling of our mother. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour, with Pastor Dale Berg officiating. Friends may view prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Golden Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Voss, Douglas Seidel, Gloria More, Lori Voss, Wayne Voss, Derrick Voss, Larissa Boyko and Melinda Boyko. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Beausejour District Hospital or the Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. You were always there when we needed you, No task too great or small, With a loving heart and a willing hand For all, you did them all. Thanks for the years you gave us, And for the precious times we shared, We only pray that when you left us, You knew how much we cared. God saw you getting tired, He put His arms around you And said "Come unto Me." To live in hearts we leave behind Is not to die.
