REINHOLD WIRCH Suddenly after a brief illness on Sunday, November 4, 2001 at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 79 years. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Bertha, son Marvin (Celia) and their children of Balmoral; and daughters, Betty (Steve) of Hamilton, Cheryl and her children of Winnipeg. Also survived by one brother Henry (Vi) of Kelowna, one sister Edna of Portage, also by one brother-in-law Ken Campbell of Stonewall, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Grace in 1982; brother Ed; and six sisters, Olga, Ida, Esther, Linda, Bertha, and Lena. He was born in Moosehorn, MB, February 28, 1922. He farmed in Elm Creek and Sperling with his family, then settled in Meadows in 1948 where he and his brother Henry took over the family farm. He married Grace in 1951 and in 1963 sold the farm and moved into Warren. He attended McDermot Avenue Baptist Church and in the fall of 1943, he committed his life to the Lord. On May 18, 1944 he was baptized by Rev. Otto Patzia. Reinhold had been an usher at the New Life Baptist Church for 25 years. He had been employed at Lawsons in Warren after moving from the farm. In 1988 he married Bertha. Reinhold donated to various Christian Ministries including his church, as well as volunteering his time at the church. Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8 in the New Life Baptist Church, Stonewall, where Reinhold was an active member. Pastor Henry Ozirney will officiate, with interment to follow in the Stonewall Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the New Life Baptist Church Building Fund.
