HENRY SINGBEIL 1918 - 2001 Peacefully, with his family at his side, Henry passed away in the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his wife Kate in 1986; sons, Freddie (1938), Raymond (1998) and Edward (2001). Henry will be sadly missed by his daughters, Joyce (Doug) DeGraff and Fay (Gerald) Christenson; daughters-in-law, Sharon and Patricia; grandchildren, Donald, Fred (Mona), Trisha (Jeff), Sharon (Bill), Karen, Todd, Krista and Erika; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Breanna and Rorie; "special friend" Edna Mezuska and her family; sisters, Lea (Sid), Mary, and Edith; brothers, Bill (Clara) and Emile (Helen) many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Dad was born and grew up in Fraserwood, MB. He moved to Narcisse in 1930 with his parents, brothers and sisters. In 1937 he married Kate Pestrak. They operated a mixed farm for the next eight years in Narcisse and then moved to North Kildonan in 1946 where Henry was hired on with Swifts Canadathis began as summer employment. Winters were spent in Northern Ontario, working in bush camps until he was hired on full time with Swifts in 1956. He retired in 1980. Retirement years were spent tending his magnificent garden. He took pride in his fresh vegetables, which he enjoyed sharing with family, friends and neighbours. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
