Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERTRUDE CASLOR Gertrude Caslor (nee de Vries), aged 90, passed away at Deer Lodge Centre on November 4, 2001. She leaves behind her much beloved husband and constant companion of 65 years, John; daughter Sharon Bartlett and son-in-law Michael Bartlett; daughter Judy Zarowny; and son Brad Caslor and daughter-in-law Betsy Thorsteinson. She also leaves her grandchildren, Scott Bartlett; David Bartlett; Todd Bartlett and wife Tracey and great granddaughter Alycia; Laura Bartlett and husband Christopher Sias; and Michael Zarowny. She was predeceased by grandson Matthew Zarowny. Trudy was born on October 16, 1911 in Ashton, Iowa, the youngest of six sisters and two brothers who have all predeceased her. Her family immigrated to Canada where she grew up on a farm outside Nanton, AB. She was hired right out of secretarial college by her future husband. When she walked through the door, it was love at first sight. Their wonderful marriage was filled with family and love and laughter. Trudy enjoyed life and all it had to offer, whether it was trips to England or Hawaii, sampling exotic foods, attending the theatre, ballet or a grandchilds Christmas concert, or catching pickerel at the family cottage at Clearwater Bay. She was a genuinely sweet natured and kindhearted person who was adored by her family and loved by her friends. She never tired of meeting new people and was an active member of the St. Andrews River Heights United Church Womens Auxiliary for 40 years. The family would like to express their warmest thanks to the staff of Six West at Deer Lodge Centre for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, should friends so wish, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9 at St. Andrews River Heights United Church, 255 Oak St. My Darling Gert Ill be seeing you In all the old familiar places That this heart of mine embraces All day through In those small cafes The park across the way The childrens visits The pine trees and the cottage view Ill be seeing you In every summers day In everything thats light and gay Ill always think of you that way Ill find you in the morning sun And when the night is new Ill be looking at the moon But Ill be seeing you. -All my Love, J.D.
