JOHN BOHEMIER April 24, 1928 - November 5, 2001 Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer with his wife and best friend of 31 years by his side, John was called home to be with his Lord. He was predeceased by three sisters, Marguerite, Aline and Jean; and two brothers, Sam and Leo. John is survived by his devoted wife Eleanor (nee Thick) five brothers, Charles, Raymond, Roger, Robert and Gil; four sisters, Fernande, Louise, Lucille and Simone; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends. During his working years, John had many different positions, associated with the transportation industry to name a few, Kleysons, Duffys Taxi, Grey Goose Bus Lines and Building Products. John had many hobbies and past times, one of his latest accomplishments was his gardening, being very proud of the fruits of his labours especially his tomatoes. He loved bowling and was an avid card player especially bridge and cribbage, always playing to win. He never liked to lose. John had a keen and wonderful sense of humour, always having a good joke for every occasion. He enjoyed coffee with the MacDonald Club. Many thanks Karen and Miles for your visits. John rescued Karen from a serious car accident when she was seventeen. Thank you to the staff at Victoria Hospital, 3rd floor where John was happy to greet the sunrise from the window in his room, thanking the Lord for giving him another day. A big thank you to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, 3rd floor East Wing for all your kindness and attention to John while he was ill. John, I will truly miss you especially our great times together. I played the piano and you sang along. I will always treasure our last dance in the kitchen. Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
