WILLIAM KUTZAK Peacefully on Nov-ember 3, 2001 William Kutzak passed away at Beacon Hill Lodge at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Olie (Elutza) Kutzak, Pearl (Paraska) Kutzak; sister Ann; brother John; sister Lina; and brother Nick. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Maria Kutzak of Winnipeg, Lily Zyha of Edmonton and sister Sofie (Peter) Dykun of Vita. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Nelson (Sylvia) Kozusko, Bev (Gary) Vien, Marie (Ron) Walker, Fred Zyha, Darlene Zyha, Orest (Bea) Dykun, Jeannette Kowalenko, Larry (Cindy) Dykun; and several great-nieces and nephews. William was born in Gardenton, MB on November 1, 1920. After attending school and working on the family farm he went to work in Winnipeg, first at Ashdowns then at Booth Fisheries from where he retired and moved back to Gardenton. He enjoyed life in the country. He loved working in his yard, gardening, visits from his family and friends. His favourite pastimes were going to the cabin, walking in the woods, picking berries or mushrooms depending on the season. He loved the outdoors. The family wishes to thank Lyn and Marsha and the rest of the staff who looked after him at the Beacon Hill Lodge, also a special Thank-You to his friend David Hodgson for his help and support during Williams last days. Viewing took place at Vita Funeral Home, Vita, MB, on Wednesday, November 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Gardenton, MB, with interment in the church cemetery.
