GERMAINE ST. GODARD Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday November 5, 2001 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Germaine St. Godard, nee Pineau, passed away at the age of 71 years, after a long battle with kidney failure. Germaine was predeceased by her beloved husband Willie in 1991; her foster parents Albert and Antoinette Desharnais; brother Leonard Pineau and sister Leda Bouchard; and by several in-laws. Left to mourn her passing are her two children, son Donald and companion Brenda; daughter Dolores, all of Stonewall; two brothers, Fernand (Hugette) Pineau and Adiemme (Louise) Pineau; sister Jeanne (Les) Guy; as well as many nieces and nephews. Germaine was not a stranger to illness. She fought long hard battles but always seemed to come back smiling. Throughout it all, she raised two children, planted her gardens, and helped maintain the farmstead with her husband and children. She did all this with a joy in her eye; she will be missed dearly. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday November 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, with interment in the Parish Cemetery. Viewing at the church prior to the mass.
