Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKRYSTYNA (KRYSIA) KIEDA Peacefully while in Poland, Krystyna (Krysia) Kieda, aged 50 years, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 2, 2001 with her family at her side. Recently Krysia became ill, but returned to her native Poland to visit her family and friends. Krysia leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Jadzia, Irka, Hela, all of Poland; and her brother Ted of New York, along with their respective families. She also leaves behind her nephews, Bern (Lisa), Rich (Sharlene), Ed; and niece Liz (Mike), and their families, all of Winnipeg; also her brother-in-law Ted; as well as a number of close friends. Krysia was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Veronica; and her siblings, Mary and Kaz. She was born on Sunday, May 6, 1951 in Nowodziel, Poland, and immigrated to Canada in 1969, and made Winnipeg her home. Krysia worked for Nutty Club for the past 31 years. She enjoyed travelling, bowling, bingo, and the outdoors, but mostly just being with her family, and friends, and her puppy Daisy. She loved time spent with her great-nieces, Melissa, Ashleigh, Jasmine, Michaila; and her great-nephew Chad. Krysia will always be remembered for her smile, sense of humour, kindheartedness, and generosity. She had a zest for life, and was always willing to help anyone, expecting nothing in return. Krysia will be sadly missed by everyone. Krysias wishes were fulfilled and she was laid to rest next to her parents, in Nowodziel, Poland. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. If so desired, a donation can be made in Krysias memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
