MARGARET HATLEY On Wednesday, November 7, 2001, Margaret passed away at Golden Links Lodge at the age of 87. Margaret was born on March 24, 1914 near Arran, SK, to Catherine and Fred Demchuk. She married Mike Hatley on September 26, 1939 at Split Lake, MB. They once owned the Gold Trail Hotel in Ilford. Margaret lived at Thunder Hill Court in Benito for 10 years. Margaret was hard working, generous, a fun loving person who loved being with her family and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her son Lorne in 1951, husband Mike in 1965, daughter Arlene in 1986, her parents, and siblings, Ann, John, Joe, Mike, Eugene and Emily. She will be sadly missed by her son John (Dianna), daughter Lorna (Norbert Sitarz). Grandchildren, Danny, John Jr. (Andrea), Duane (Juanita), Brad (Jennifer), Kelly, Melanie, Katie, Shawn and Jamie. Great-grandchildren, Michael, Ellen, Branden and Nicholas. Sisters, Annie Hoshowski and Elsie Kostiuk; brothers, Walter (Gloria), Dan (Nettie), Paul (Faye) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Thompson with burial in Thompson Cemetery on November 10. Fr. Ed McSheffrey officiated.
