DENISE AVANTHAY (nee BADIOU) Peacefully on Thursday November 8, 2001, Mrs. Denise Avanthay of Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB passed away at the age of 73 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond in 1998, and by one son Michel in 1955. She leaves to mourn her passing five children; Micheline and husband Shaun Kurz, Gabriel and wife Barbara, Diane and husband Edwin Ripley, Lucille and husband Jeff Marion, and Dennis; 14 grandchildren, Karli, Bobby, Nicole, Christopher, Danny, Michael, Patti, Michelle, Tyler, Mark, Donovan, Kyle, Kevin and Bradley. She also leaves to cherish her memory one sister Cecile and husband Romeo Delaquis; three brothers, Lou and wife Suzanne, Rene and wife Alice, Gerry and wife Odile; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Prayers for family and friends will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 13, at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday November 14. Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. with Father Raymond Bremaud officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at the Parish Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends or family may send memorial donations to the Notre Dame Health Foundation, Box 190, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0, or to a charity of choice.
