PATRICIA MAY ALDERSON BOTHAM At home in Winnipeg, on November 6, 2001, Patricia Botham passed away of cancer. Her life is celebrated by her daughter, Lorraine (Gern) Sabourin; grand-daughters, Rae-Anne Evans and Christel (Rod) Ferguson; step-grandchildren, Tonya and Steven; sisters, Margaret Gregg and Elenora Simon; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; as well as special friends. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence in 1988 and brother Jim McNaughton in 1988. She was the most loving and supportive mother and it was my honour to be with her for the past five months to look after her needs. Her talent as a china painter, which developed later in her life, was truly remarkable and gave her great pleasure. She has left many beautiful pieces that will be enjoyed by family and special friends. Special thanks are extended to the Oncology Clinic at Concordia Hospital, particularly nurses Marguerite and Carol for their support and understanding; to the staff in Radiology; and especially to Ann Ediger, Palliative Care Nurse for her TLC of both my mother and myself; to all Home Care Staff who kept Moms comfort and needs foremost in their hearts over the past five years. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9, at 1:30 p.m. at John Black United Church, 898 Henderson Hwy., East Kildonan with reception to follow. Private interment will take place following the reception. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Patricias memory to Palliative Care/Research for people living with Breast Cancer, c/o CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9, or to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
