FREDA MIDDENDORP It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, oma/omie, sister and friend Freda Middendorp at the age of 65 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Neil (Christine) daughter Lori (Roger) and her five favourite grandsons, David, Kyle, Braedan, Lucas and Benjamin. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Iris (Eric) Walker, Pearl (Jim) Marchant; and her brother George Sinkins; as well as many other family members both here and abroad. Freda was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Soon after her arrival, she met and married her soul mate Cees Middendorp who predeceased her in 1997. Freda had an incredible zest for life. You could not help but be touched by her warmth, generosity and friendly nature. She cherished her many friends and family, never forgetting a birthday and always there to lend a hand. Her passing will leave an immense void in so many lives. We will miss her terribly. Blessed are they that make it known That I am loved and not alone We wish to express our thanks to the staff at Toronto General Hospital for their sincere efforts and kindness. A memorial service in celebration of Fredas life will be held on Friday, November 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
