Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN PIERCY After a lengthy illness, on Thursday, November 8, 2001, at the Riverview Health Centre, Jean Piercy aged 78 years of Winnipeg, formerly of Stonewall and Stony Mountain. Born March 18, 1923 in Dundee, Scotland, she came to Canada in 1946; resided in Rivers, MB, then moved to Churchill in 1956, moved to Stony Mountain in 1974, in 1990 she moved to Lions Manor in Stonewall, and for the past three years she lived in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Edward (Ted) Piercy in 1990. Jean was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Stonewall Branch No. 52. Surviving to mourn her loss two sons and three daughters, James of Winnipeg, Edward of Elm Creek, Glenise DArchangelo, Susan Rocan, and Pauline Piercy all of Winnipeg; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother Charles and numerous nieces and nephews of Scotland. She was also predeceased by her parents, and 11 brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. W. Vincent will officiate. Legion Rites at the service. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Development Fund, in care of the Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
