JOSEPH GUNTEL 1923 - 2001 Joseph Guntel quietly passed away on Friday, November 9, 2001 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. He was born on January 19, 1923 in Winnipeg. He was a member of the Armed Forces and was employed by the City of Winnipeg for 38 years. Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nellie; daughters, Dorothy (Robert) Homeniuk, Pat (Mike) Solohubow; son Kelly; grandchildren, Nicole and Scott Pesce; along with numerous other relatives and good friends. A special thank you to Dr. E. Braun and the staff of McPhillips Medical Group for their kind and compassionate care along with the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for their care during his brief stay. Prayers will be held on Monday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception following in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined.
