LAWRENCE GEORGE DROBOT 1939 - 2001 Lawrence passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, after a battle with cancer on November 9, 2001 at Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by Audrey, his wife of 38 years, daughter Corinne and husband Rob, son Kevin and wife Angileque, brother Gerald (Virginia), nephews, Douglas (Melanie, Ashley, Michael), Gene (Kelly) and niece Sherri (Nick, Adam). He was predeceased by son Geoffrey, grandson Justin Caleb, parents, George and Minnie, brother Barry, nephew Gregory and in-laws, John and Katie Chernetz. Lawrence was self-employed in the trucking industry. He enjoyed collecting and showing antique John Deere tractors, taking rides in the country to see the farming community, spending time at the family cottage and making new friends. Lawrence enjoyed participating in I.D.T.A. and H.E.R.A.M., especially coordinating the social events and the truck driver school. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Annes Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave., Winnipeg. Private interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
