MICHAEL WASNEY September 6, 1902 - November 9, 2001 Peacefully on November 9, 2001, at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, Michael passed away at the age of 99 years. Michael was predeceased by his dear wife Rose in 1997; his daughter Adeline in 1991; and four sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his loving son Walter, wife Evelyn and two granddaughters. Michael was born in Poland and came to Canada at the age of two years, living most of his life in the Winnipeg area. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Lac du Bonnet, fishing (trying for the big one), and spending many happy hours gardening. The family wishes to thank all the staff of The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for the kind and compassionate care given to Michael. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with Father Joseph C. Johnson S.J. officiating. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Michaels memory may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
