MEMORIAL SERVICE CATHERINE JONGSMA January 27, 1919 - October 14, 2001 Born in Wamel, The Netherlands. Predeceased by John her husband of 51 years in 1993. Tina came to Canada in 1952 with her husband and two young sons. They had a number of businesses and jobs in Toronto, then here in Winnipeg and carved out a good life for themselves in their adopted country. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, John (Gail) of Delta, B.C., Ernie (Penny) of Abbotsford, B.C.; six grandchildren, Connie, Tammy (Greg), Tina (Haskell), Wendy (Terry), Angelina (Grant), Quentin and seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Channah, Brett, Lauren, Noah, Rachel and one on the way, and all of the relatives in Holland and friends in Canada especially her Tuesday evening card club which was her special weekly outing with Joanne and Lisa. Her flowers and her vegetable garden were her special joy and everyone always had to have a look at how everything was doing when they went to visit. Anyone who would like to speak at the service would be gladly received. Let Penny know when you arrive. Reception to follow.
