Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE THERESE BRUNET 1910 - 2001 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister and aunt, Marie Therese Brunet, who died peacefully on November 9, 2001 in Ottawa, ON. She had resided at Rothwell Heights Lodge for the past 12 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Emilia Brunet; two brothers, Fr. Louis Phillipe and Gabriel; her sister Madeleine F.D.L.C.; and her niece Madeleine Rivers. Marie Therese leaves to cherish her memory one brother Francois Brunet from St. Lambert, PQ; and two sisters, Sister Claire Brunet F.D.L.C., and Lucille Corbeil, both of Winnipeg; and many nieces and nephews. Therese was born in Winnipeg in 1910 and attended St. Josephs Academy in St. Boniface, finishing with a business course. She worked as a secretary at the Compagnie Fonciere in Winnipeg for several years, then moved to Ottawa where she held important government positions. At one time she became an assistant secretary to the then Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Louis St. Laurent, whom she admired greatly. Therese was one of the kindest people we knew, generous, affable, interested in everyone she met and was a great conversationalist. Her faith in the Lord knew no bounds. She was active in church circles and also proud to be a friend of the Oblate Fathers of Ottawa. But most of all we are grateful to our sister for having been a faithful and constant companion to our mother for over 30 years. We will never forget her devotion and compassion and loving care she showed her. Therese will not be forgotten by family and many friends. We also want to thank the staff and personnel of Rothwell Heights Lodge in Ottawa for their attentive care and kindness extended to her for the past years. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 10:30 a.m. from Precieux Sang Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St., with viewing at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at the St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald Street. Flowers are gratefully declined. Chere Therese, Tu demeureras toujours Lobjet de notre affection. Nous ne toublierons jamais. Tu es notre ainee toute speciale. Au Revoir au Ciel.
