GEORGE KROEGER George Kroeger of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, Winnipeg and formerly of Rivers, MB, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2001 at the age of 99 years. He was predeceased by his first wife Katie in 1977 and his second wife Elizabeth in 1997. Mr. Kroeger is survived by his six sons, Peter (Helen), George (Katie), Edwin, Henry (Selma), John (Mavis), Jake (Lynn) and five daughters, Helen Krahn (John), Katie Enns (Bill), Margaret Kroeger, Hertha Martens (Eric) and Marion Johnson (Tom). There are 29 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon on Monday evening, November 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, 951-10th Street, Brandon, on Tuesday, November 13 at 11:30 a.m. Viewing at the church prior to the ceremony. Interment will follow at the Rivers Mennonite Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Mr. Kroeger to the Mennonite Central Committee or to a charity of choice. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel and Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
