ROBERT SIEGFRIED KRUGER Passed away on Friday, November 9, 2001 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Robert, beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Fraser) proud father of Cameron Douglas and Hali Catharine Harry-Paul (Raj) of Oakville, ON, Patricia Lynn Delano (Wayne) of St. Catharines, ON, and Ronald Allen of Burlington, ON; doting grandpa to Rob, Patrick, Alec and Anna. Survived by his brothers, Lloyd of Sydney, B.C. and Ronald of Calgary, AB; Aunt Olga Weinmaster (Eric), of Calgary, AB; sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews across Canada. Born in Winnipeg on December 13, 1933, Bobs working life as a Chartered Accountant included ownership and co-ownership of several businesses there, long-time employment at Air Canada in Winnipeg and Montreal; Senior Financial Consultant to Transport Canada in Ottawa, and lengthy employment as the Senior Financial Officer in several divisions of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) in Ottawa, Kanata, Mississauga and Rockville, MD Bob retired as Vice President Finance and Administration of AECLs Candu Operations Division (Mississauga, ON) and AECL Technologies Inc. (Rockville, MD, USA) in 1994. His community activities included President of Chartered Accountants Students Society, Member of West St. Paul Home and School Association, affiliation with community soccer clubs in Beaconsfield, PQ and Ottawa, President of Oakville/Burlington A.L.S. Chapter (Lou Gehrig Disease), local canvasser for Canadian Cancer Society, President of Tyandaga Oaks Condominium Corp., and more than ten years as a member of the Erin Mills Model Railroad Association. Bob and his brothers had a keen interest in music, fostered by their late parents, and which has been carried on through sponsorship of a Scholarship at the Royal Conservatory of Music for the past 20 years. Thank you to the doctors and staff at the Toronto General and Princess Margaret hospitals for their kind efforts. A special thank you to those at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital who helped Bob and his family through his final hours, and to Dr. G. Skupsky, who provided family care and support for over 20 years. Following a Private Family Funeral Service and Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at SMITHS FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one Stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905 - 632-3333) on Wednesday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow at Cassiopeia, 1005 Skyview Drive, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, A.L.S. Society of Ontario or a childrens charity of choice, would be greatly appreciated.
