MARGARET RITA TRINDER
Date of Passing: Nov 09, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET "RITA" TRINDER Rita passed away peacefully on November 9, 2001 at the age of 85. With many memories she leaves her daughters, Carol Anderson (Tom) of Calgary, their sons, Brock and Danny and great-grandson Connor, Marsha Mathison (Ed) and daughters, Sara and Laura of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Albert "Dunn" in February 1989. Most of their married life was spent in Norwood where friends and family were always welcome in their home. Summer visits with her sisters, Betty and Dodo were greatly enjoyed and she will be remembered for her wit and humour by her nephews, Herb, Doug, Brian and her nieces, Heather, Lorraine and Dorothy. Rita enjoyed her many years of employment in the "basement" ladies wear at the Bay retiring in 1981. While able she was active with the Y Seniors and the Fort Garry High-Risers. Her church community of St. Andrews Presbyterian was very important to her. All who knew Rita will remember the many hours she spent on her hobbies of knitting, sewing, calligraphy, and especially her Christmas crafts. Sara and Laura remained close to their Gramma who always referred to them affectionately as "Pet" and entertained them with her piano playing, never failing to sing off-key. Special thanks to the very caring staff of the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg who looked after Rita with warmth and treated her with dignity. In respect of Ritas wishes there will be no formal service. If friends wish, donations can be made to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo St., R3M 2N6.
