Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOU LUCIEN JOSEPH DUPONT April 8, 1920 - November 12, 2001 Lou passed away in the early morning on November 12, 2001 at home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents Serguis Dupont and Marie Vincent; his five brothers, Louis, Gerard, Alfred, Alexander and Raymond; and his three sisters, Maryanne Beaulieu, Eugenie Desilets and Marguerite Gauthier. Lou leaves to mourn his passing, Denise, his loving wife of 53 years; six daughters, Nadine of Fort McMurray, AB, Suzanne Makar (Bill) of Perth, Australia, Claudette, Jacqueline, Marianne and Lorette all of Oakbank; three sons, Alain (Sue Carr) of Fernie, BC, Ronald of Kelowna, BC and David (Maria) of Richer, MB; ten grandchildren, Lucien (Heather) of Fort McMurray, AB, Daniel of Sparwood, BC, Craig (Maria) and Pamela Makar of Perth, Australia, Michelle of Winnipeg, Richard and Samantha Carr of Fernie, BC, Nena Hiscock of Fort McMurray, AB, Christine, Jessica and Michelle of Richer, MB; two great-grandchildren, Skylar Dupont of Fort McMurray, AB and Eloise Makar of Perth, Australia; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Family was the most important thing to Lou. He served in the R.C.A.F. during World War II. He was also a quarter-century member of Abitibi Paper Co. Lou spent the last 11 years of his retirement in Richer, MB. Prayers for family and friends will be held at P. Coutu Funeral Directors (156 Marion St.) on Wednesday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ste. Anne Parish, 162 Central Ave., Ste. Anne, MB. In lieu of flowers donations could be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
