Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKANICHI REX SUYEHIRO Peacefully, on Monday, November 12, 2001, Rex Suyehiro passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Rex will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sherry; brothers, Hiroo (Trixie) of Toronto and Shiro of Brandon; sister Sue (Tom) Oye of Winnipeg; and many nieces and nephews. Rex was born on January 17, 1917, in New Westminster, BC. He was evacuated to Alberta in 1942. In his younger years, Rex worked in British Columbia and Alberta at various jobs. After moving to Winnipeg in 1952, he began working at Rossen Lumber Yard, and retired from Shore Glass in 1982. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m., also at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Quiring officiating. Interment and reception will follow. The family wish to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital, 3rd Floor South, and Dr. Kotecha for their kindness and care and grateful thanks to Ichiro Teranishi for all of his help. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7, or to a charity of your choice.
