ALBERT WHITTINGTON July 13, 1920 - November 10, 2001 After a lengthy illness, Al passed away at hospital with his family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Joan; daughter Darlene; son Barry; granddaughter Nichole and fiance Nuno; sister Rose Alfonso; brother Dick and wife Nancy in England; many other relatives and friends. Al was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Fred, George and Robert; sisters, Vi and Gladys. He served overseas in the Second World War from July 1941 to November 1945 with the Little Black Devils. Al worked for the City Engineering Deptartment for 40 years. He was a member of Branch 117, Sir Sam Steele Legion. Misty, his pet dog will sure miss him, she slept with him all the time he was sick. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 14, between 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation will follow. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16, at 1:00 p.m. also at Cropo Chapel. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank sister Shirley, niece Gladys and Wally, homecare nurse Heather, homecare workers Donna and Peggy for all of their help.
