PETE KABALUK Mr. Pete Kabaluk, aged 88 years, beloved husband of Anna of Lac du Bonnet, MB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at the Pinawa Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Anna of 65 years; his sons, Gordon and wife Pat, Edward and wife Irene, and Albert and special friend Ernaall of Lac du Bonnet; his grand-children, Peter Kabaluk, Karen Kabaluk, Lianne Metcalfe, Duane Kabaluk, John (J.J.) Kabaluk; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Kristin, Shane, Sarah and Sean; his sister Kay Beckta of Winnipeg, MB; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna; his brothers, Bill, Mike and Dan. Pete was born and raised on the homestead at Landreville and attended school there. He farmed all of his life and later, together with his brother Mike and Uncle John, purchased and operated Caseys Inn and Hotel. He was our hero, our supervisor and our protector. Prayers will be said on Sunday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour. Divine Liturgy will celebrated on Monday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk, the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Peter Kabaluk, Duane Kabaluk, John (J.J.) Kabaluk, Jim Kabaluk, Clarence Worona and Dolf Fandych. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface Hospital and Pinawa Hospital and also his home care workers, for their care and kindness.
