METRO (MATT) BOYCHUK Peacefully, on Thursday, November 15, 2001, Metro Boychuk passed away at the age of 83 at the Concordia Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his two sisters, Mary Prociuk of Winnipeg and Anne Swynar (Leonard) of Steinbach; sister-in-law Nellie Boychuk; eight nephews, six nieces, many great-nephews and great-nieces as well as several great-great-nephews and nieces. Also a special friend Helen Luby. Metro was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Paraska; brothers, Mike, John and Steve. Many thanks to the doctors and staff at Concordia Emergency department as well as a special thank you for all the care and kindness shown on the third floor. Prayers will be said on Monday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Cathedral, 114 McGregor St. with Rev. Fr. Nestor Yakiwchuk officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Peter, Walter and Jarvis and his great-nephews Ken, Jeff and Darryl. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Matts memory to the Pacemaker Clinic, St. Boniface General Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., or the Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation.
