Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELBA JOYCE DAVIES (nee DAVIDSON) Born January 5, 1923 in Minniska, MB, passed away October 23, 2001 after a lengthy illness complicated with the heartbreak of losing her only daughter Glenda Lynn Twerdochlib to cancer in 1997. Predeceased also by husband Walter Chrzaszcz and by her parents Victor and Marion Davidson. She is survived by two sons, Jan and Paul Chrzaszcz; son-in-law Morris Twerdochlib; grandchildren, Kathy (Steven), David, Daniel and Alyson; two great-grandsons Tyler and Dakota; sister Evelyn, two nieces Beverley and Robin and their families. She will be sadly missed. Melba served with the C.W.A.C. overseas in Second World War alongside her mother Marion (also in C.W.A.C.). She enjoyed volunteering wherever needed in Legion activities over the years since. In her earlier years Melba loved sketching, painting, writing poetry and short stories, at which she was quite adept. She had a great sense of humour and back in her school days, loved acting in local stage productions at which she excelled and hoped to pursue as a career. A service in her memory was held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. on November 7 officiated by Rev. Gordon Shield, followed by interment in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg. Wojciks All Beliefs and Faiths Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 897-4665.
