LESLIE (LUCIEN) LA FRANCE Following a brief battle with cancer, Lucien passed away on November 14, 2001 in the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 79 years. Les is survived by his wife Marie of 57 years and sons, Ken (Madeleine) and Bruce along with grandchildren, Tim, Carmelle, Rachelle Smith (Darrin) and Keri; sisters, Yvette Hay (Raymond), Simone La Baty and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, sister (Eva Perron) and grandson Daniel in 1981. A long-time resident of St. Vital, Les enjoyed travelling throughout the world, working in his yard and keeping a greenhouse. In his earlier years, Les enjoyed a career as an Engineer and served in the Navy during the Second World War. Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
