DONALD MASTERS Peacefully, at his home on November 14, 2001, Donald Masters in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Walker). Dear father of Margaret and her husband John Helder, Jane, Mary Ann, Lois and her husband Terry Whate and Charlie and his wife Judy. Granddad of Marjorie, Mary Jane, Tina and her husband Loren, Sarah, Rebecca and Don Helder. Erica and her husband Jess, Rod Whate, Matt and Suzie Masters. Predeceased by his brother Gordon and his sister Peggy Wallace. Donald was a longtime professor of Canadian History at United College, Winnipeg, Bishops University, Lennoxville, PQ and finally the University of Guelph, where he was named Professor Emeritus. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, Donald was also active in the Anglican Church of Canada as a layman, where he was named Canon of the Cathedral of the Diocese of Niagara. Friends will be received at the J. Scott Early Funeral Home, 21 James St., Milton, on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held from St. Georges Anglican Church, 7051 Guelph Line, (just north of Derry Road), on Monday, November 19 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Georges Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Christian Blind Mission.
